(A gameplay video of another demo version, with some other features, can be watched in this link).

Memory Match Finnish is an educational game to help beginner students of the Finnish language memorize vocabulary in an easy and fun way.

This is a demo to be played on a browser, the game continues in development. So far it has 20 playable levels. The inventory menu button is working on levels 1 and 2.

This demo was part of my internship work and thesis project for my degree in Game Design at XAMK - South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences.

This version of the game has bugs unfixed and one vocabulary error, it is left like that to keep it as it was used for the thesis research. Improvements and changes according to feedback from test users are currently in development.

The thesis is available at this link.

A complete version of the game (including more features, extra mini-games, and up to 700 cards on different topics) is planned and will be developed in Unity, upon securing funds to cover the development costs.

The team who has worked on the game so far:

Angélica Apache Franco (game design, production, art direction, UI design, 2D art, animation, Construct 3 developer).

Annele Kuusrainen (Music, Sound FX, Finnish Voice Overs, Unity developer -for a previous demo not published, the one in the link above-).

Phi Khanh Tran (2D art).
